Dyeing Chemicals Names and Their Uses:

Textile Dyeing Chemical Name

Dyeing Chemicals Names and Their Uses:

Below are the chemical dyes used in the Textile engineering industry

Salt:

Salt works as an electrolyte i.e. it assists to bring dyes from the dye bath to the fabric surface. It also neutralized the dye bath.

Soda:

Soda fixes the color to the fabric. It also form covalendbond. Besides, it also use to control PH and increase water absorbency of the fabric

 Hydrozen Per Oxide:

Hydrozen Per Oxide use to remove natural grey color from the fabric

Caustic Soda:

Caustic Soda acts as a scouring agent. It also used to remove fabric stain and additional color from the fabric surface

Stabilizer:

Stabilizer uses to stable the reaction of H2O2. If stabilizer not uses to the recipe then H2O2  will break instantly which is responsible for color bleeding

Detergent:

Detergent acts as a wetting or cleaning agent.

Anti-Creasing Agent:

During knitting and wet processing, create crease in the fabric which results uneven shade. So, during dyeing one types of crease remover use to remove crease from the fabric. This chemical is lubricant type

Sequestering Agent:

Sequestering agent removes metal iron and hardness from the water. It also soften the water.

Wetting Agent:

Wetting agents remove surface tension to increase wettability of the fabric

Leveling Agent

Leveling Agent uses to distribute dyes chemical evenly into the fabric

Anti-Foaming Agent:

Anti-Foaming Agent uses to remove foam from the dye bath during dyeing.

Soaping Agent:

Soaping Agent uses to remove additional color from the fabric during fabric washing. It uses as a liquid soap

Enzymes:

Enzymes use to remove hairiness from the fabric and soft the fabric. It removes fabric pilling

Softener:

Softener uses to soft and increase the lusturnes of the fabric. It also increases fabric hand fill and suitability.

Fixing Agent:

Fixing Agent uses to fix the color onto the fabric during dyeing.

Hydrose (Na2S2O4):

Hydrose uses to pick up the color from the fabric surface. It also called reducing agent.

Acetic Acid:

Acetic Acid uses to neutralize the fabric and control the PH

Dispersing Agent:

Dispersing Agent used to penetrate the dyes into the polyester fabric evenly.

Lubricant:

Lubricant uses to remove static electricity from the textile material

Oil Remover:

Oil Remover uses to remove oil mark from the fabric surface.

Sodium Acetate:

Sodium Acetate acts as a buffering agent. During Polyester Dyeing, to stable the PH sodium acetate used.

 OVA (Optical Brightening Agent):

OVA used to increase the whiteness and brightness of the fabric
